What are some things a company can purchase in order to go green?

Hi! I was wondering what companies would need (Supply-wise and equipment-wise) In other words, what would a company need to purchase in order to go green? Can you think of any? This is completely fictitious and the cost of the supplies doesn’t really matter. Also, what are some steps a company can use in order to “go green?”

Thank you so much for your answers. If you got any information off of a website, can you please leave a link under sources? Thank you so much again.

THey could make the building LEED certified that they operate in go green as far as wastewater management, Adding an Ice bin cooling instead of your conventional air conditioning. Add low flow toilets. Maintain computers and other electronics that qualify to Energy Star

depends on the company that you represent, like apple for instance. they tap the use of “green” materials to their products up to packaging. “cut cost save the environment”

They could use recycled paper, high efficiency lighting, Green cleaning products. They should also recycle all their processing materials such as oils, lubricants, steel, paper, plastic etc.

They could develop an environmental management system and certify to the ISO14001 environmental standard to help identify and control the environmental impact of their activities, products or services, and to improve their environmental performance continually.

The greenest thing is not to buy. It will depend on the company, look at anything that they need to purcahse to keep the company going, if it is and appliance or electronic, make sure it is energy star, if it is paper see if you can find it made our of recycled content. If it has packaging, see if you can buy it in bulk without the packaging, if it is a consumable can it be recycled.
