How Injured Workers Get Screwed By Insurance Companies
May 12th, 2009 | by Rick |cyberw asked:
A prominent insurance fraud investigator drops a dime on the insurance companies and tells you how they evade their lawful responsibilities to compensate injured workers. Anything goes so that they can save a buck.

Hell I know an x politician who received great health care, two different operations all within a few weeks, and fucking yet I have to wait months for a fucking ct scan. Our health system is all fucked up our previous government asshoels got rid of many doctors and nurses back then. and now we have **** for services don’t get sick unless you have money stan hall london ontario canada

Here’s a question. If you are injured, and your injury is not disputed, but by delaying tactics are bankrupting you, what do you do? MLA’s, Minister of Health, Ombudsman all state WCB is an arms-length, virtually untouchable company. Lawyers cower in fear, once they find the insurer is WCB. Up to that point, they are willing to take the case on the basis of being paid a percentage of your award. Once they know its WCB, they run.

Insurance companies are in the business to collect monthly payments from you, and when you have a claim they pay lawyers 50 million to save 150 million as people are forced to settle to put food on the table, and cloths on your back. lawyers thrive on the blood of both canadians and americans canamdacans.

You obviously do not understand that the role of a claims manager is to ensure that claims are legitimate and that costs are kept to a minimum. Their role is of benefit to premium payers. If all claims were accepted premiums would skyrocket. No claim would be denied if it is on just grounds. If investigations were not had, many of the fraudulent claims would slip past. 96% of premiums go to paying out claims. Why would an insurer deny a legitimate claim for a measly few percent?

I can’t wait for the whole system to collapse on itself, with Broke States, and people saying FU WC, it will be some sorry *** adjusters out sweeping houses and swinging hammers, and hopefully a load of lumber will crush their ***.

Diane, at least your doctors diagnosed you, here they make sure they don’t diagnose you so the cheap bastards don’t have to fix. Of course it helps to have ex WC claims adjusters now working as WC judges. Its as corrupt as the Bush Regime. Do what I did, track down the PIs who drugged your dogs, sabotaged your stuff, broke into your house, bribed your friends for info. But more and more workers are demanding to be sub contractors and waiver the WC. Drive their sorry ***** out of business!

Forgot to mention the “computer glitch” problems when they decide to not send your benefit checks out. Especially around the holidays. People have filed complaints with the state legislators, governors, majors etc.. and nothing is being done. WHY? because these insurance companies financially support our politicans. INSURANCE IS A BIG SCAM AND SHOULD NOT BE MANDATORY. THEY ARE GETTING RICH OFF HURTING PEOPLE. PERIOD!!! NO ANDS IFS OR ***** ABOUT IT.

I was seriously injured at work, spent a week in the hospital have permanent damage numerous doctors, hospitals etc… said yes serious injury. But the insurance company played games with the medications, medical attention and benefits the “starve you out” games. And yes I have had pi’s on me for years. What a waste of money when they could of paid for treatment but god only knows INSURANCE COMPANIES ARE USELESS.

It seems as though, viewing the responses on this board many people don’t understand the difference between health insurance and work comp, I have worked in both industries and the two are unrelated. Unless you work for the state, your work comp is usually covered by your employer, they are the ones that pay for your WC. Health insurance is for other things needed such as preventive care or medical issues, in many cases you pay a portion of those funds and your employer matches you.

This PI is a hero. The corruption in the insurance industry to deny, delay, and defend against legitimate claims at all costs to keep profits high is just pathetic. We know this has been happening for a long time, and we owe thanks for people like this PI to reveal and tell the truth about it. Only the ones who stand to profit from this kind of insurance industry fraud are the ones who won’t accept reality.

I live in Canada and we also are being DENIED appropriate HEALTHCARE or BENEFITS for our injuries.
Our Canadian Healthcare is sadly failing many, people are dying waiting for MRI’s or other diagnostic tests that take 30 months to get.
BEWARE AMERICANS! If your system follows the Canadian system you will be made to pay for healthcarethrough your taxes, yet you will not recieve appropriate healthcare due to workers compensation ********* BAD FAITH tactic’s designed to DENY, you HELP.

San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield has just had their Chief of Staff arrested for cocaine drug dealing (see Dr. Jeffrey Freesemann).

He is right, all insurance companies are in the business to collect monthly premieums and not to pay out on claims. they would rather spend ten million on lawyers to save twenty million on claims, proper claims they dont give a shit, I now they have screwed me and my entire life is screwed because of them.

This is just another way that workers CON-pensation, will go to any length to avoid paying a injury claim. I’m not dead but I do have a spinal cord injury, (that workers Con-pensation has stated shouldn’t cause a problem) I can do anything that I used to do before injury, HOWEVER, I pay with extreme pain and am laid out for days once I aggravate the injury.

There have been a handful of cases where I have spent 2 or 3 days waiting for someone but never see them. Maybe they are truly unable to get out and about. Thats fine, just means I solidified their case. No way in hell I would edit my footage. Its not worth my time. I still get paid, whether I see someone bowling with a ‘bad back’ or just sitting on their porch. And yes, I do work in a very lazy area. Detroit and Dearborn.

Well maybe you’re in a higher risk lazy area than this guy. Are you going to say that you’ve NEVER encountered someone who was truly injured? I would think you’re editing cutting and pasting then to save your *** and your job…you see you too have a motive. Just saying…

pretty wide brush you’re painting with there. maybe you’ll need to make a legitimate claim at some point, and you’ll get screwed.
